We understand the importance of supervising children's journey; both in terms of safety and carbon footprint. Indeed, nowadays children have unequal access to transportation; and it has real consequences on their lives . For example, a lot of children can't have access to a correct education because the trip to school is very difficult. Our project takes into account these issues.
Therefore, our project aims at every parents who want to reassure themselves on the journeys of their children , and who want to limit their children's carbon footprint. Our project has indeed a cost, however it is affordable (the mean of a pedibus trip is 2€). Since our service will be offered in developed countries, a lot of family will be able to afford it.
Our service is an application that allows the parents to book a safer and more environmentally-friendly trips. Indeed, once connected, the parents can see on the map if a trip is available to go where their children is supposed to go. Three kinds of trips are available : pedibus, school-bus and carpooling (these three modes of transportation are safer and more environmentally-friendly). They can see the adult who manages the trip.
It will help you to have a better understanding of the project. Our subject is: "Ensure children's access to safe & sustainable transportation systems". Our readings made us realize the importance of supervising the children's journey; both in terms of safety and carbon footprint. Our project took into account both decisions.

We offer an application aimed at offering collective means of transport (carpooling, school bus, bike bus or pedibus). This transport provides children and their families with a safer and more sustainable way of getting around . Indeed, they allow children not to travel alone and especially to be able to find accompanied means of transport when we cannot take our children somewhere. These means of transport are also more sustainable. Indeed, these are collective and more respectful of the environment for some - the carbon footprint is therefore less.
The problem encountered was an insecurity problem . Indeed, many parents cannot take their child to activities and refuse their child to go / participate in these activities for fear that something will happen to their child on the journey. Our application therefore makes it possible to put in contact people making the trip with their child or a child and children who need an adult / guide to go to their activity .
